Bulgaria has a growth economy. It has been a holiday destination for many years, and its people are both welcoming and eager to develop tourism, business, and investment projects.
Property values overall have risen in the last 12 months by about 47 ½ %. Property investment funds have been set up by major European bankers and finance houses, and demand for property is expected to continue fuelling price increases.
Already a member of NATO, Bulgaria is expected to accede to the European Union in 2007. Measures to align financial regulation with EU requirements, and to attract foreign investment are vigorously pursued.
